Now I know why Mickey and the poker players have made millions beating baseball and I am a lifetime loser. In order to beat baseball you have to defy logic. Logic says the Phillies were the wrong side but because the Phillies have San Diego's number they were actually a good bet. I even thought the fans would be all over the Phillies today. They were cheering like crazy inspite of their lousy recent play and Brett Myers. Here is the true bottomline avoid listening to Howard Eskin on WIP and the assholes that call him. They do not reflect the actual Phillies fans. All I have heard the last few weeks is empty ballpark and disgruntled fans. No matter how they play their still going to draw 30,000 fans a game. The tickets have already been bought and paid for this season. They may even get crowds of 40,000 when the Mets come to town.
