Francesco... What are the rules for game delays and such...

Yesterday I was joking but I thought I understood the rules...maybe I don't. Help me out here. If a game goes less than five innings it can be postponed as if there were no game.

After five innings the game becomes official, BUT if the home team has not batted last (and they are behind...meaning the visitor has had more at bats at the point of stoppage) when a game is stopped then the game will be continued from that exact point in the game at a later date (nulling any wagers on the game even if the game is official...)

So, if Atlanta is behind and they are the home team and the game is stopped in the top of the seventh after a couple of St. Louis batters have struck out but with a third batter two pitches into his at bat, then the game would be stopped and continued from that point at a later date....right? Wagers would be voided for that game on that day?

Anyone...am I off? If so, a brief explanation would be much appreciated. tulsa

tulsa, one other important factor for ov/un betters, the game must go a full nine innings for you to get paid for a win. not top of the 9th two outs, no one out and 0-2 on the batter with the home team winning by 100 runs and an ov/un number of 7. if you had the over or under and it dont finishe you get your money back

Thanks pops69! I appreciate that. I do remember this rule as I've lost one or two winners and avoided one loser by games not making the full 9.

And the 9 inning rule also affects runlines... Runlines are scratched if the game doesn't make the 9 innings. Good luck, pops.

The game's official after 5 full INN, before that, the game doesn't count, at all.
Runlines, totals, everything else gets scratch, but the ML, IF the game's stopped at any point later than that, the game counts, as I said only the ML's, all bet's on totals RL's or anything like that are cancelled, THE BETS not the game.
