I just sent these guys copies of a bank statement and my id about 5 months ago. Now they say they need an id or passport with my name and picture on it to be "scanned." They said they are updating their records, yada, yada, yada and that a fax isn't good enough any more. I've been with them 4 years. WTF. They have my social, drivers license, passport, bank statement, security question, password. I wonder when I am going to be safe. They say it's for my security. Ok, whatever. The only thing I'm concerned with on my security is you dipshits.

I sent it over an hour ago and now I call back and no one is there in the department they say I need to speak with someone in. There's no problem, just inconvenience. They need the sun, now they need the moon. Just stupid and makes no sense.

I've been using Neteller for the past three years and have never once had to send them ID. Strange.

The only id I ever sent was to confirm the test $ amount they put in my bank account. Otherwise they have my name, address, phone number, email and nothing else.

I've been using neteller for years and they've never mentioned anything about id to me. If your depositing and withdrawing money from you neteller account to your bank accout why would they need a picture id, I guess thats basicly the same as books wanting a picture id when you only withdraw and deposit by neteller.

Do what they want and move on.
If you gamble there are not a lot of good competitors with Neteller.

Are you making unusually large deposits often? Your account might of gotten flagged for money laundering. Just a thought that came across my head as I read your post.

Thanks for your input guys. I was just giving everyone a heads up and wondering if anyone else had to do this. I sent them my id probably 5 months ago. They have all my info. Weird that they would ask that it be scanned and a fax that was good 5 months ago wasn't good enough now. I have large transactions going from my account, to sportsbooks, and EFT's to my bank account. I'm usually taking 50k out of my Pinnacle account each month or sending money to them if I'm losing. Then I send other books smaller amounts.
Neteller says it takes 24-48 hours to review my documents. Then they can reactivate my account. We are pushing 24 hours now, so I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow.

Ship and others. Thanks. I'm sure it will all work out, it's just a hassle. I've been with them since November 2002 and one would think they would of sent me an email or called me and said "can you please get us this info. in the next week or we will have to suspend your account until we get it." Not just coming with the hard close. It's absurd. They have probably made atleast 10k from the fees they have charged the books on all my transactions over the past 4 years.

Never had to send ID to NT. Its apparent the large amounts of $ is the reason they want more info.

Had some problems with my account being suspended a couple months ago...agree it's not a problem...just a hassle to correct.

Why was yours suspended? What did you do to resolve it?
