When I transfer $1,000 to my Neteller Debit Card, and I go into my account and click on the Debit Card Balance it is giving me only $958USD. Why is that? Neteller sent me an email saying something about the conversion to CAD, but if I transfer $1,000USD to canadian dollars and have not used anything it is still $1,000 USD. Why would it show up less? This is driving me up the wall. Its cost me almost $200 in fees and monies just to take out like $4K so far.

Thanks in advance.......

FI, your USD get converted to Canadian and then when you check your balance you get them back to USD

Imagine I take a 100 dollar USD bill to a CRican bank, they give me colones, if I turn around three seconds later and I give them the same amount of colones I just got .......I wont get 100 but 98 something

The exchange rate fees account for that

I "think" that you can ask neteller to reimburse you those fees, may be there are strings attached to that but I wouldn't know because I have never asked, long ago when I got paid via neteller it normally cost me about 20 dollars /1000 to get it out

Thanks for the information. I am getting paid via Neteller as well wolfie but this debit card is starting to get on my nerves although its practical for emergencies. I will probably just stick to bank wires every month........
