Dumb move, that shit is dangerous. Not to mention that Sauerbrun was one of the former Panthers under investigation for the whole Steroid deal. Dude is screwing up a good career in the NFL, one in which he rarely has to take a hit

DENVER (AP) - Broncos punter Todd Sauerbrun was suspended for the first month of the season after testing positive for the banned supplement ephedra, a person close to the player said Friday.

Sauerbrun will miss the first four regular-season games if his expected appeal is denied, said the person, who spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press because the NFL has not announced the suspension.

Sauerbrun was brought in from Carolina before last season and is attending Denver's three-day minicamp this week. He was not immediately available for comment.

The NFL banned ephedra, a dietary supplement, after the death of Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Korey Stringer during training camp in 2001. Players are tested and can be suspended after the first violation.

Same reason as any normal human. He's probably got a few pounds to drop from the off-season. As for 'roids, the common misperception is they make muscles grow. Actually, they help muscles recover quickly so you can work out more, thus making them quicker. It's not about muscle, it's about recovery.

you can just look at him and tell he's a little off, a bit of a rebel...he's like the Tim Dwight of punter's.

He does look to be juiced too....the entire free world is juiced I am convinced.

It was less than one month go our very own Viking took a leave of absense to avoid being tested and possibly lose his posting priveledges for 60 days...he came back 20 lbs lighter.

Yeah, but recovery is about muscles. If you recover quicker, then you can train harder and more often. It doesn't directly build muscle but it indirectly allows you to build muscle faster.

Well than why do they say to give your muscles so much rest to recover than, they claim you cannot grow if you workout too often...I have always overtrained according to the experts.
