TAMPA BAY +1.14 over NY Yankees
Joe Torre had to make a move of some sort with Shawn Chacon and made the only choice he could; find another starter to take Chacon’s place in the rotation. Enter Kris Wilson, a guy that pitched for the Royals from 2000 to 2003 and that has spent the better part of the last three years in the minors. So, not only could he not make the Royals rotation, he couldn’t make it in the Royals minor league system and actually went from Triple AAA down to Double AA and than back up to Triple AAA Columbus, where’s he’s spent most of this year. His ERA at AA Trenton was 9.35 in two 8.2 innings and he also allowed four jacks in those 8.2 innings of work. He was called up to Triple AAA and pitched much better, going 6-5 with a 2.84 ERA. However, here’s a guy that’s 30 years old that hasn’t started a major league games in three years. In ’02 his ERA with K.C. was 8.20 and in ‘03 it was 5.33. The opposition hit just over .300 off him back when he was with the Royals and three years later don’t expect much to change. Wilson is a fill-in, not a call-up and after the All-Star break you’ll likely never see his name again. He’s favored on the road because he’s wearing Yankee gear but if he were wearing any other digs he’d be a big pooch today. The only thing you need to know about the D-Rays is Seth McClung is in the minors and is not today’s starter. Play: Tampa Bay +1.14 (Risking 2 units). <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

L.A. Angels +1.13 over OAKLAND
The A’s were on their way to getting shut out again last night by Jered Weaver but with a 6-0 lead going to the eighth Mike Scioscia decided to give the pen some work and the A’s scored four meaningless runs to make the score look respectable when it fact, it was not. Oakland played right to form and remain the leagues worst offensive team in terms of batting average, runs scored, slugging percentage and total hits. Offensively, the A’s are a joke, especially when facing quality pitchers like the one they’ll see here. Earvin Santana is 5-0 with a 3.32 ERA over his last six starts. He’s allowed just 93 hits in 106 frames and he’ll usually pitch deep into games. The A’s haven’t seen Santana this year but Santana went 3-0 with a 1.61 ERA in four outings against them last year. The Angels are making a big move after a very underachieving first half. They’ve now won seven of eight and a win here and they’ll be just two games back. Dan Haren is a good one for sure but you need run support and without it, it’s very difficult to win and without it pitchers try to do too much knowing that a single run could cost them big. Of course the Angels can win here. Play: L.A. Angels +1.13 (Risking 2 units).

Yeah man I unknowingly went against you on both pics. That will definitely be the last time i do that. Well done on two not so easy wins today. I will be watching closely.

Your analysis is too good to be reflected in your early start this season. Your tear of late reflects your knowledge in the sport IMO. Keep it up.
