Which team has the best Power rating at years end? For the 5th straight year it will be USC.

Vince was everything for Texas. They won't be back. Mack Brown won't be able to get it done. The savior is gone. The defense should be solid but the heart and sole is gone. They will have to have a new leader emerge.

The answer's obviously no..at least for this season. Texas will continue to get their share of the nations top recruits, but to fill that void this season will be almost impossible to ask anyone to do.

Yeah. Our biggest recruiting class just all left. I doubt we'll go undefeated again.

Though if we beat OU and OSU, I think I'll be allright if we lose to some no name team. :)

I don't think Notre Dame and Penn St have any chance at winning it all.

Penn St lost a bunch of guys and does not look good. Notre Dame is excellent on offense but their D is still average and they have a very tough schedule that means they will drop 2-3 games.

Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio St, Auburn, and USC have the best chance. California may sneak in there as well.

Texas is loaded everywhere. They bring back everyone cept Vince. Anyone who thinks Vince was all they had doesn't understand the way football works. With one of the best offensive lines in football, this team will make any QB look great and they still will be able to pick up 5 yards a carry. The defense isn't as dominant but is still good. Whoever wins the Oklahoma/Texas game (on a neutral field this year) will likely be undefeated and play in the title game.

The team will pick up 5 yards a carry and give their QB tons of time to find a WR. You don't need Vince Young to make this offense a top ten offense if you have incredible blockers upfront. The QBs Texas has all can throw the ball accurately if given time and some of them can run like the wind. Not elusive as Vince but you don't need to be. Texas' championship correlated with their most impressive offensive line of all-time. Offensive lines make the offense. You put Vince Young behind Duke's offensive line and he is crap. He will still get some rushing yards here and there but his ratio will be horrible. Winning teams have great offensive lines. The lines make the QB. That's my point of view.

Hey Jake, why are you such a Texas fan?? I noticed your hat at the bash, but you sure live along way away!

By the way, I know Jamaal Charles personally. I hope that he gets the starting job. I tried to get him to go to Texas A&M, but he wanted no part of it while he was in High School!

Haha well I'm a Boise State fan first and foremost but one of my good friends came to Idaho from Texas and we'd watch the LongHorns each week. I still remember Major Applewhite and James Taylor and all the old school Texas players.

The only reason I rock my Texas hat so much is because it is the most comfortable one I have.

With Ramonce Taylor having legal and academic issues, I think Charles is almost a lock for the starting spot. Selvin Young may get some carries but Charles should be the man.
