Slim,
What are your thoughts on a guy following steam or fading it?

I have done both. For example which of these 2 plays do you think the PLAYER follows and he will come out ahead.

Detroit opens -125 versus Baltimore. A couple of hours before gametime the line starts moving from -125 to -135, the player bets -125 at a slow moving book who seems to be a few minutes behind the move.

Now 15 minutes or so before gametime the game get steammed again up to -145 and another player finds a +140 at a sharp book/exchange. This player gets the highest number all day with a +140 on Baltimore.

What move do you think it is better to be on:

A) the -125 on a team that will close at -145 or so or

B) +140 or so on a team that opens at a +115 and gets steammed up to a +140, fading the steam and the public.

I know the books don't like it when you beat them to a move but what player in your eyes will come out ahead
