Do any books offer "surrenders" on parlays with games in progress?

Example:

(I posted this card earlier in the MLB forum)

I would love nothing more than to surrender this play right now (Only the Dodger total remains in progress, the other two won) for a smaller cut

If the book offered me $1750-$2000 for this plus my initial wager I'd take it in a heartbeat.....

Obviously it would have to be done manually, sort of a "live wagering" type thing....and obviously it would never be guaranteed that they would do it...but I think that option would be great....The linesmaker or someone qualified in the book to make the call would have to be in....obviously....

They could have a "Surrender" button on the ticket which would then be sent to the person to consider taking it or not......

Could this be profitable for both parties in the long run?

Dante,

When I play totals in bases, I only play UNDERS...its just my thing...
with that said...I started trying something at the sportsbook...

Instead of just taking the under, I usually take the smallest under line they offer.....I figure when I am taking the unders, I am pretty confident that it will go under, under....not just reach 9 if it is 9 1/2....

I placed a parlay wager on Friday for the under in the Angels and Mariner games....The Mariners game just squeaked by....but $200 paid off $1000

I lost $700 trying it yesterday....as the night games (Rockies) and (Angels) each had ONE inning that cost me HUGE amounts of money...

I took the above parlay today, and obviously it cashed....,

It's honestly not that bad when you take two hot pitchers....You just cant have one really exploding inning

Some of it is a crapshoot too Dante...

Tonight I love the under in the Cards game...I know I am a sucker...but under 7.5 +150 is just too good to pass up

Carpenter obviously has the ability to easily pitch a great game....He also pitches REALLY well in MM park

Pettite is just hit or miss...but lately he has been picking it up...He's at home, so I think he'll be ok..He pitches well against the Cards historically

Plus the homeplate umpire is an under bettors dream this year in NL games

Interesting option proposal. Books need something different to stand out, this has potential,IMO.

Gamebookers offer some kind of buy back option but I think its limited to before the game goes off. Its not a good deal but they promote it as you might find a better bet but are short of money.

Why would anybook want to pay you off midway through a bet. The more plays you have in a parlay the more the book has an advantage on you. That's why they offer parlays in the first place.

Great play though good job hitting a good play.

They would in theory make money on juice allowing you to settle early with a game remaining, they could short the payoff a pretty large percentage to lure a player that doesn't have available funds to bet against the parlay.

As stated it would vary on the game...

Lets say you have 2 games that are already in....you have one remaining.....

Score is 3-1 top of the 8th......The bettor proposes a sale at a fraction of the original wager....

Like I said...it would be more of a "live wagering" type of dealio
and the book would not HAVE TO accept it.....

I'm wondering given the right price, and if enough people are doing it...if it would be worthwhile for both parties in the long run
