It was my first time betting soccer, but I felt real good about Italy, so I bet $3k on Italy and was celebrating when they pulled out the win with the PKs. Then when I logged onto Pinnacle, it turns out that the spread only covers regulation, so I got my money back.
I broke even.

I made some, but did not have the time to do what i needed...which was to hedge/middle the parlays w/ Live or 2nd Half parlays(manually hooking if need be).
I only bet 4 days-- the first three, losers btw, i had to leave the parlays unprotected due to time constraints-- came within a whisker of a goal in two of them of making major killings, suffering disallowed goals & blown PK's.
When i was able to protect at the very last one, turns out hedge not needed... Murphy's Law. But at least i had tripled the bet units, it being the end of the WC.
