I'm toying with the idea of buying one of the memory foam mattresses. Has anyone had any experience with these?

Are they comfortable? Good for your back?? How is their wear?

Thanks in advance.

i have one i bought from overstock.com

king size

i had a severe rotator cuff tear which resulted in my getting alot of my shoulder cut out. this leaves me with alot of muscle atrophy and back pain from lack of use of those muscles

since buying this mattress my nightly pain is greatly reduced and i sleep alot better.

I would highly recommend it - in fact even my girlfriend said to me we should get one for the guest room.

the reason the prices are so varied is the actual thickness of it

so they range from 650-2500 depending on manufacturer and thickness

i think mine was 900 and got a 30 % off coupon searching the net.

SAVE your money...they DO NOT WORK..that foam becomes very weak over time...trust me I have been down that road

DO NOT buy it

get a slepp number bed if your going to spend that kind of money

Love the foam. No sign of wear after a year. Got queen on Ebay for 150 or so. Highly reccomended. All you need is the topper, mines about 4".

you must be a lucky one than Khawk....

I had the memory foam pillow which is the same material they make the mattress out of and that shit I had to take back 4 times for new ones as after about 1 month each time it would wear down and have a groove in it

would advise NOT to spend the money on a NEW One

I had to tweak the pillow to make it work...adding some foam ...If you sleep in the same place long enough on that pillow it will begin to sag and not completely be the same firmness ...if not then your one of the lucky ones ...
