Dante--What I fear that's different this time is that the HOUSE bill has allready made an exemption for horse racing on line. Therefore they have the support of those people. In the past, the horse racing industry has been on OUR SIDE to fight against it. So it makes me worry about the Senate. (I think the Senate must be a very close call from what I'm reading. They are a little more, excuse the pun...."poker faced" in that body at what they are doing.
Obviously I didn't just throw my hands up one day and say "I think I'm going to gamble for a living". I had a standard 9-5 job and would play poker online on the evenings/weekends - Soon I was making more money at poker than I was at work. I played online for YEARS and built a nice sized bankroll before I even thought of quitting my job. I wouldn't have made the leap if I wasn't 99.9% sure I was going to make it. It's been almost a year now since I quit my job and have never regretted it. Making more money now than I could have ever dreamed of at a 9-5 and on top of that I get to watch my 20 month old son grow every single day. How many jobs are there where your son can sit on your lap while you work? I'll move out of the country before I go back
