What kind of handle does that place do? Isn't that an idiotic bet just from the point that 10k will DESTROY the payouts if his horse came in???

Bridge-jumping is always foolish but doubly so with the buggies. As soon as the drivers see all that money on the tote board they'll decide they're gonna stiff their horse or let them break just to teach the clown a lesson.

I think you were drunk when you posted this because it hasn't happened recently, so whats the point. Oh, were telling old horse racing urban legends, how about the guy who refinanced his house and bet all of it to win on Secretariat to win at Saratoga.

Yeah, I'm a driver so I stiff my horse and lose purse money, so I can teach some moron a lesson... yep makes sense, to a drunken horseplayer maybe.

Sure you do....if you know who will win & have $$$ on him.

The trotters are crooked, period. From what those "in the know" here & elsewhere have said, they probably don't live off their jockey pay.

Believe me, this WILL happen if you bridge-jump at the buggies. The purses are pretty small for trotters and the track doesn't want to pay all that minus-pool money out. This isn't the rantings of your typical track bum who claims "fix" every time he loses a race.

First off they aren't jockeys, their called drivers...second off yeah most of them have second jobs or are driver trainers, 3rd If you think all races are fixed your a moron, do the math, You would have to take down every pool and split it 8 ways to make any money, unless 5 of the drivers decide to work all week and let you have all the money while they stiff thier horses... c'mon how retarded are you...

You guys are really retarded... So the track risks its license, and lively hood so that they dont lose $1200... Oh i suppose the State run stewards tell the track that in this case it's all right... And The purses for most harness tracks with slots are easily pass any of the bush tracks out there...
