What is it people don't get about gambling?

It's only been around since the start of time. I bet Moses threw down more than once.

Immoral? The vast majority of the states have some form of legalized gambling. It blows me away these lawmakers can pass this law and turn a blind eye to state lotteries....which cater directly to the poorest population.

Instead of millions of gamblers using offshore accounts, they will return to using illegal bookies. How friggin' stupid can you be.

It is because the gambling companies have all lost their minds in how to sell the issue. Gambling is fun entertainment for the vast majority who take part. That should be the message, but in many cases it hasn't been. They got lost on this stupid idea of tax revenue because they were told that is how you get a state to allow it. No one ever says we want to come to your state so your 3 million or whatever adults can have additional entertainment choices, they say we want to come and pay lots of taxes so you can finally fund your schools. Big big mistake.

When it is all about the money, it is too easy for gambling to become evil and for the biggest benefit, entertainment for gamblers, to be forgotten.

how fucked up is our gov't porn is legal on the internet , gambling is illegal punishable up to 5 years in jail ?? (not sure if that is correct)
