1-0 (+2.00 units) allstar game
28-17 (+23.72 units) overall

i called the allstar game almost perfect. i said i liked the nl to win the game, but played the runline (+1.5) thinking they might lose a heartbreaker and they did in the 9th 3-2. my luck has really turned around.

small schedule to start the second half of the season. a little on my phillies and you can all call me crazy if you want, but they are not out of it yet, at least for a wild card. as bad as they have played, and all the injuries they have had, they are only 5.5 back, but trail seven teams i think. their starting pitching is getting some of its health back and they are capable of making a run in the second half. yes, i do have my hopes up....guess i am a typical philadelphia fan.

onto thursdays games............................only like three games, so i think i will just make all three for two units each.

florida +100 vs houston.............i have been against this florida team all year long and that was part of the problem with me losing so much early in the year. florida always gets rid of their team and somehow has some decent young players who seem to play half decent. this teams has the appearance of a AAA team, but they will battle you hard. houston always seems to struggle on the offensive end and it will not help playing in florida vs willis. i think these are real nice odds to get willis at home. i will try it.

detroit -1.5 (-125) vs kansas city..................no doubt that the tigers should win this game. i am sure they want to prove in the second half that the first half was no fluke. i am sure jim leyland is talking about this. i don't want to lay the huge odds, so in what should be a blowout anyway, i will play the runline, i think it is a safer bet..you just never know. of course kc's road record makes this a strong play as well.

cincinnati -114 vs colorado.............probably the weakest of my three plays on thursday, but still two units anyway. the reds have fallen on hard times after the great start. sometimes the start of the second half can be like a second wind for some teams, i hope this is the case for the reds. they are still within reach of the cards, but it is an uphill climb. i think these are pretty fair odds to get the reds at home and it is worth a shot.

good luck everybody!!
