Hands down Minnestoa (was going to post this an hour ago but had to sweat out game and didn't want to jinx it).

Its not that they are a bad team, its just they got all sorts of props for beating up on the NL. They actually would be a very good NL team. Throw out their record against the NL and they are an average team at best and if I you haven't noticed the schedule the rest of the way for them is tough (best divisonal in baseball)

Just don't have the bats (power wise) to compete with the better AL teams. Good series to bet against them as Cleveland still has ALOT of offensive talent (more than Minnestoa) and really wants to prove their 1st half was a fluke.

Minnestoa also a very bad road team. Chance too make some money (IMO) the next month against Minnestoa as alot bettors are putting this team in the same breath as the playoff caliber teams of AL, I say no way. We shall see.

I think the Twins are a very legit team. The best 1,2 punch in baseball. A very good pen by todays standards, and they play great defense. Not a great lineup, but they have a nice mix of power and average. Mauer is simply a stud in the making.

I think they are one of the 5 best teams in baseball. They played some pretty good National League teams.

As far as frauds, I would say the METS because you cant expect Martinez and Glavine to have the same 2nd halfs that they had in the first. Pedro is always better in the first half. He is already breaking down. If Pedro and Glavine come down to the norm, they will have a much less spectacular 2nd half than they did in the first.

Totally agree, and keep in mind they don't have a $100 million dollar payroll. Best young team out there. In all sports defense wins championships, I will take pitching and good defense over offense any day. No one has two better starting pitchers than Minnesota. Bullpen is one of the best in baseball on top of that.

this is my point, exactly what you are saying is what I have been hearing for about a month now from a majority of baseball people I respect. It's like everyone wants to be the first to find this sleeper team and want to annoit them first.

Another thing that is bothering me is this Liriano crap. That guy is special but damn lets wait till he pitches 20 starts or so. Best 1-2 combo, not yet!!!

They are a long way away from being in the top 5 in baseball , they can't hit for power and our a bad road team. They have proved nothing to belong in the same class as the CWS, Tigers, Red Sox, Yanks. Maybe next tier and that is a big maybe (giess that makes them #5:puppy: ). Beating up on the NL for a few weeks hardly makes anyone a contender.

I think when it is all said and done the Indians will be ahead of them.

I guess I should keep my mouth quiet (not that anyone is listening) and scoop up ridicoulus +200 dogs against them. They will be a great fade in the next month, mark my words. O-V-E-R-V-A-L-U-E-D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Detroit is the biggest fraud, and it isn't close.

think you have been saying that since early June. Hope you haven't been betting againstthem, if so you have lost a ton of money. Pick another team. One that doesn't have the best all-star break record in baseball in 5 years and the biggest run differntial in baseball, still trying to figure out how this is a fluke. The worst part is I have not heard anyone (myself included ) that overvalues them or says they are championship caliber

* side note: Detrioit beat Minnestoa 33-1 in 3 game series earlier in year. These teams aren't even close.

Well I think Santanna and Liriano are overvalued alot. That does not mean that they are not all that they are hyped up to be. Even the greatest of the greatest only win 62 to 63% of there decisions. So when they juice a pitcher like LIRIANO up to over -200 against a good team with a decent pitcher you have to take advantage, but that does not mean hes not a pure bonified stud!!!!

The Twins have great homefield. They are 7-0 in the WORLD SERIES at home, and 0-6 on the road. 2 for 2 in World series, and will have home field again if they get there.

Playoffs, Playoffs (most best Jim Mora impersennation). They can't beat bad teams on the road, you must win series if you are going to get into playoffs, havent proven they can do that against AL teams.

No question Liriano is and will be special. My point is they are overvalued (I think we agree on this) and as a team are a fraud by the betting public, the new "flavor of the month."

I am telling you bet against the next month. Been making solid cash since the whole inter-league thing ended a week and a half ago.

10th best ERA in baseball.

I will take pitching too but there's is 10th. About where they are as a team, a solid 85-88 win season.

F'ed up payroll is baseball, thats just the way the game is setup, not saying they may be good one day (need power hitting BADLY)
