Frustating loss with the Royals last night. Get a 4-0 lead into the fifth and then give up three unearned runs and lose 6-4. But Oakland got there and made it a night where I made a small slice. 1-1 and win 340, so now 195-227-7 and down 1031 on the season.

The Reds trade was an interesting one. Give their GM a little credit for at least making an effort to improve the bullpen. Russ Culver had an interesting take on that trade yesterday.

I also watched the Dodgers and STL last night. No doubt the Cards deserved to win when you take into account they left em loaded three times against the rookie and got nothing. Still, the Dodgers had plenty of chances in the last four innings - they just couldn't cash. Once Odalis came in, I shoulda just went to bed. We all knew Pujols or Rolen would end it lol...

By the way, did anyone see the blonde chick with the humongous boobs who made it down into the box seats behind home plate starting in about the 11th inning? My GOD, she was beyond hot. Unbelieveable. Kept me awake the whole time hahaha...

Will wait on ump before CUB OVER. Wind blowing out about 8 mph to center, moderate chance of t-showers this afternoon. Maddux can go after pretty much any delay; Trachsel gets ridiculous run support, it's why he's 8-4.

Rocket has been getting little to no run support. But he offers tremendous value here. He's 5-0 with a 2.72 ERA vs. FLA in his career. Sanchez is making his third start and he has really struggled keeping pitches down in the zone. He's given up 12 runs in 9 1/3 innings in his last two starts, with seven walks. The Astros won comfortably last night against Willis and should do so again tonight.

The play: Houston -1.5 runs plus 105 - 700 to win 735

Cy Young is a better pitcher on the road than he is in Petco but he's worth a shot tonight at this decent price against ATL. Hudson has lost his last four decisions (though he did get hosed last time, a 5-run ninth cost him a win vs. CIN)... Young struck out nine in six innings, scattering seven hits in the process of beating Washington. The price has gone down some here and I'll take a stab at laying a quarter for a little bit.

The play: Diego -125 - 500 to win 400

Lean to Lieber and Phils but already missed the price so must pass for now.

Not understanding the price on Redman/Rogers here. The Gambler traditionally tanks it after the break and Redman has only gotten better every time out for Kansas City. If he can get some help on defense, they are certainly the right side in this one. Both coming off short rest from AS game outings, let's try OVER in this one as the ump won't hurt.

THe plays: Kansas City plus 230 - 400 to win 920

OVER 9 -115 - 460 to win 400

2teams - KC plus 229 and OVER 9.5 plus 105 - 300 to win 1723.35

Anytime you can get Zito at plus 165 or better you better give it a long look. He's gotten three runs or less from his offense in four straight starts now and Beckett is 5-0 at Fenway, so that's why the price is what it is. Still, he gave up 10 hits and five earned runs last time out and has not been as sharp as of late. I'll take a flyer on the Oakland ace tonight, especially considering his ERA is 1.46 lower than Beckett's, a ridiculous difference when you factor what the line is compared to what it should be.

The play: Oakland plus 165 - 500 to win 825

Texas sure looks cheap against Baltimore but Wire has even a better point: neither pitcher might not be totally healthy. Considering Millwood's road success all season, it's hard not to try him in a parlay with OVER. Benson has had it tough three straight out there.

The plays: TEX/BAL OVER 9.5 -105 - 525 to win 500

2teams - Tex -119/OVER 9.5 -110 - 300 to win 754.01

Lean to Meche; if it goes up more I will bet Seattle later on. Janssen was just rotten last time out and Meche is going on his normal four days rest.

The Cuban is this kind of dog to Johnson? You've gotta be kidding me. He still hasn't lost since last August and even though he struggled with his control last time, he gave up just three runs and four hits in six innings. He's 2-0 lifetime vs. NYY with a 0.60 ERA. The Unit has won three of his last five to get to 10 wins. Still, the White Sox are clearly the better team, they have the better pitcher and they are an underdog? I thought for sure Wire would be on this one. I signed up for it last night, figuring (correctly) that the price would go down.

The play: ChiSox plus 118 - 1000 to win 1180

Byrd and Radke, another game that could well go OVER, especially if the Tribe offense gets out of its funk. Byrd threw in a clunker last time but Radke has lost 17 times to CLE and his ERA is 5.00 lifetime vs. them. Pass for now.

Tampon price way too high in Anaheim. Yes, I'm a big Seo hater as well but he was markedly better last time vs. the Yankees. Buddy told me he was spotting pitches and had more velocity on his heater (making the gap between fastball and changeup more noticeable, and tougher to hit). Lackey has done nothing wrong as of late (17 2/3 scoreless now) and if I get an UNDER ump then it's on like Donkey Kong.

Will be here all day, still catching up from AS break and once Cub game starts I'll be hanging out and looking at Phil The Thrill mag.

GL all...

Taking a shot in Toronto that Janssen ain't right.

Seattle is the right side; Meche has been running really good.

The plays: Seattle plus 111 - 400 to win 444

2teams- SEattle plus 109, OVER 10 -115 - 300 to win 872.22

In line with everyone else on Minnesota OVER. Trying for the price and I sure hope Byrd ain't right, though I think his last start is a throwout.

The plays: CLE/MIN OVER 10 -101 - 404 to win 400

2teams - CLE plus 108, OVER 9.5 -120 - 300 to win 844

GL all!
