irishman...mine is not expiring anytime soon so not sure if that info they gave you is right but ... it might be a USA thing only though
and why is it a WORRY to get a new card?? im confused
what is the big deal?
Good chance that it is no big deal Dante...but I look at everything from a business angle...and therefore, from my perspective...it is uncommon to replace a card that is not going to expire for more than a year for no reason. it will cost the company $ to do so...so you look for a reason for them to do this...the only reasons, businesswise, that come to mind are:
1) security has been breached or is in need of significant improvements, need to cancel all old #'s that were impacted and issue new ones
2) they won't be able to renew or process these ones later, so they have to replace them soon in order to get new ones out and ensure that that income stream will not be jeoporadized
3) some other way it will save or make them money (new vendor, etc)...but it would likely impact all, not some
I am not losing sleep over this, just thinking about it, that's all...
