This guy had the highest winning % in the history of baseball in his first 100 decisions before moving to Atlanta. He has not been a total bust, but no better than a top notch #3. The Braves did not trade for him to be a 3. They got him to be the ace or no worse than a top notch #2. He leaves too many pitches up in the zone.

Mulder has been the same way. Oakland has done a good job of getting rid of people at just the right time.

Its always a what if....What if he was still in Oakland? Would he be the ace?
There are just so many factors when you talk about going to one team to another.....

There are SO many parts to make a baseball team and a baseball player....Something obviously isn't right....Is it him worrying about the bullpen? Is it him worrying will his team hit/score runs for him? Is he hurt and just not saying it?

I agree though...he has great stuff and I liked him in Oakland a lot.....His stuff can't degrade that fast/overnight.....Has to be some other factors.....

Well the Braves have a better offense than he had in Oakland. The Oakland pen was not steller either when he was there. DOTEL was pretty bad as a closer. He had his best years with Dotel, which was very below average.

Turner field is the most fair park in all of baseball. Its the perfect balance for both the hitters and the pitchers.

I dont know what the problem is. He had Leo Mazzone, the best in the business.

Like I said..he doesn't lose it overnight...There is some factor we don't know about

If he stayed in Oakland perhaps he'd have an ERA of 1.43 and be 10-0 ???
