As of 2 am this morning, with the elimination of Phil Ivey, it's been down to a heads-up struggle between Andy Bloch (currently with $3 million in chips) and Chip Reese ($4.2 million) in the history-making HORSE event at the Rio. We'll keep you posted.

July 14 -- Suncoast Poker Room Opens Tonight
The Suncoast Poker Room opens at 6 pm tonight spreading the following games and limits:
---$2-4, $4-8, $10-20 Texas Hold'em
---$1-2, $2-5 Blinds Texas Hold'em
---$4-8 Omaha and Omaha Hi-Lo
---$1-5 Seven Card Stud
They will offer a player tracking system in which players receive "comp dollars" for time played. These comp dollars may be used in Suncoast restaurants, the gift shop, toward room rates, etc. They will also feature a daily "bonus hand," in which players receive cash amounts when making four of a kind or better. Coming soon will be a low buy-in, morning "shootout" tournament. The room is a non-smoking, 12-table cardroom, featuring 12 plasma t.v.'s for viewing enjoy

July 7 -- Poker at the Fitz
At 10 am this morning, Fitzgerald's downtown opened its new poker room, located on the second floor of the casino. Starting Monday, the room will offer a Texas no-limit hold 'em tournament at noon daily, with $25 buy-in and $5 entry fee. Players who log 60 hours of playing time between now and September will qualify for a $20,000 FreeRoll tournament, to be held September 10.

New Bling for WSOP
Harrah's announced today that they'll be unveiling new bracelets for this year's World Series of Poker. For more than 36 years, winning a champion's bracelet has been the ultimate in poker bragging rights and according to the promoters, this year's will be "the best ever." Forty-four event winners bracelets will be crafted from 14-karat yellow gold, hand set with a center plaque featuring 66 diamonds weighing one-third of a carat, while the champion's bracelet, for the winner of the $10k No Limit Texas Hold'em Main Event, will be crafted from 14-karat white and yellow gold, set with 170 hand-picked diamonds weighing more than six carats, plus specially cut rubies, black sapphires, and black diamonds in the shapes of the four suits
