Pretty much any type job that you would find anywhere else in an urban center. Can't Pepsi hook you up?

Naturally since it is a resort and gambling destination, you'll find jobs related to those industries. Like dealers, slot mechanics, security, cashiers and things of that nature.

I lived in the Portland, Oregon area most of my life before moving here to Vegas about 5 years ago. In general I believe the pay is less here for comparitable jobs. As mentioned above there are a wide assortment of jobs available as there is in any large City. However I would say that because of the Casino presence there are many related jobs but most of them pay pretty poorly unless very skilled position. Also there are lots of construction related jobs available because of all the massive high rise construction. Also there seems to be lots of courier and delivery jobs available if you like to fight the traffic. It's supposed to be about 113 TODAY SO KEEP THAT IN MIND IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON WORKING OUTSIDE IN THE SUMMER !!

was with pepsi for 12 years in texas and they moved me out here and i worked for them 1 year here in vegas and quit..it's not a team effort out here..it's you go out and do the work for us ...while we count the beans...it sucked...right now i've contracted myself out to a car dealer and run parts in the northwest part of the valley...easiest jpb i've ever had and no stress at all..drive around about three or four hours a day and get 135.00 a day..plus 90.00 every two weeks for gas...monday through friday...not a lot but i don't need a lot...easy life for me now boys......

Fight,

I have no clue about Vegas jobs I live in DC. I have 8 years experience so not sure about what the market for recent grads.

I was curious so I went to monster and did a search for all information technology jobs and a bunch came up.

If you are a developer it is pretty easy. Just look for a JR developer role. If you have no idea what you want to do and just have a degree in technology then do requirements or testing to get your foot in the door. These jobs are easy to get entry level roles.

Then once you are in if you see something interesting you can try to switch.

Good luck...
