Myers has all kinds of issues in his life right now. His wife is about to leave him. You know about the very public nature of how his personal life has been spread all over the news.
Hes going to recieve hell from the bay area fans.
He has not pitched on over 3 weeks and hes been getting shelled 3 of his last 4 starts.
Myers is also 0-3 with a lifetime ERA of over 15!!!!!! against the Giants.
But I like the matchup of Cain over Myers even without those issues. The Giants bats are pretty hot right now.
I dont have the numbers in front of me, but Philly has lost like 9 out of there last 10 games against right handed starters on the road, and Cain is one of the hottest pitchers in baseball right now.
Why would I not want to take the better team at home with the hotter pitcher with almost an even line?
possibly because the line is telling you something.....
i look at games this way many times....this year.....the linesmaker is off more often than not...
cinci thursday night ...looked real good...but the line was real low...they won just the same
ari friday night ....same thing...though this one went to extra innings or at least ari won it in the bottom of the 9th
sometimes they are right however.....
