Osterman is amazing. A female Roger Clemens, Ron Guidry & Steve Carlton all rolled up into one. Her college & international stats are mind boggling.

Go Kat go! :103631605

It would take me about a week to get a hit off her and I am good at baseball. :drink:

Amazing how Cat Osterman is ignored and a complete zero like Michelle Wie is revered.

I like the 3 hitter Crystal Bustos. Cat has big time curve.

A softball 63 mph curve is tough to hit. especailly when it equals something like a 93 mph basbeball fastball from that distance.

No wonder Osterman struck out 2400 college batters. All I know is, I couldnt hit it.

Bustos is a beast. Wish I had taken the USA -6.5 vs China. That was over rather quickly.

She's probably the best pitcher since Bob Gibson.

I'd rather hit them both.... :toast:

But it's no surprise Rail's in love with Bustos.... she's about his speed when it comes to women.

Let's get real; how would the ladies do if they had to pitch from 60.5 feet? And how would MLB's top guys do pitching from only 46 feet or whatever it is?

As I have the Red Sox to win the Al East, I would be much more concerned if the Yankees had signed her instead of fat ass Sidney Ponson

If that were true she would be signed in a heartbeat; the extra attendance and merchandise sales would be through the roof and the team would drown in cash.

A 63 mph pitch in softball is definitely not the same as a 93 mph fastball in the MLB. The reaction time is the same, but hitting is all about seeing the ball and knowing where it's going to go.

By this thinking, an MLB fastball at 200 mph from 121 feet should be just as hard to hit as 100mph from the standard 60.5 feet. You'll never hit the 200 mph ball because you'd never see it.

For 63 mph softball, the ball is bigger, you have more time once you see where the ball is going, etc. It's not a 93 mph fastball, not even close. That's why the girls can hit it.
