I dont have any inside info, I just have that good old gut feeling that tommorow we are going to be watching ESPNews and we are going to have this breaking story.

How much longer can this countinue without anything happening.

If Dusty dont go tommorrow that means hes probably going to survive the rest of the year.

This is the problem......too many people bitch and moan about the Manager and he is only a part of the problem. Why doesnt the Owner of team who buys these fucking clowns get run......come on man. Dont pin the problem on just one person. Its the front office that is responsible, all that Dusty does is puts the guys on the field that they have acquired.

nah, the seaosn has long been shot, they are paying that clown like 4 mil a year, why throw more good money after bad by paying someone else to take over a dead team? They will just let him piss away the rest of the season and watch him walk away with a lot of their money and almost ZERO results, 2003 was like a fantasy or something.

Dusty Baker is fucking terrible.

He has managed his way outta way too many games this year.

Players suck too.

Public I agree with you to an extent. Now there are teams such as the royals that no matter what a manager will not make them a winner.

But I do believe some teams the manager "gives up" and so do the players. There are some managers that can motivate their team even after devastating injuries.

That being said I think the cubs have just given up and I blame that on the manager. I don't think they should be this bad, I blame him for not keeping his team motivated.

Bring up some farm players. Surely they have to have someone better than some of the jokers they have in the lineup

The Cubs are ALMOST as bad as watching a soccer match.

Like watching paint dry.

Back the fucking truck up and unload. The only untouchables are Cedeno, Lee, and Zambrano. Period.

i'd trade Cedeno in a second.

they shouldn't give up on Pierre either. Undoubtedly he would thrive if he was sent somewhere else.

the way the cubs played the first 4 innings = why everyone was excited about this team in the spring.

the way they played in the 5th = the reason they are 20 games under .500.

That is one of the reasons the Cubs are perennial losers. They trade away too much young talent to sign a has-been for too much money. Cedeno is the first legit prospect to come through our system in some time.

Not to crash on anybodys on slaught of the Cubs being the lovable losers but injuries are part of the game. Prior and Wood never lived up to expectations. Derek Lee was out as well.

You dont have to call me genius or einstein but if you knew Prior Wood D.Lee would be injured for most of this season....

Wouldnt you predict them to lose as well?

LMAO

Think about it.

I'm not ragging on you guys for talking crap about the Cubs but do you honestly think they dont know this already? Their top 2 pitchers are f'd up and their best 1b and one of the best 1b in the league was f'd up for most of the season as well..

So how can you sit there and act like your a genius for ragging on the Cubs?

That's like ragging on a handicap person for taking a spot in front of Wal-Mart.

Grow the fuck up! :cryingcry

The problem is not that Prior and Wood got hurt. It is that Hendry sent Dusty into this season DEPENDING on their health. The success of the Cubs was basically dependant upon the health of 2 VERY injury-prone pitchers. Not smart.
