First off, just wanted to say hello to everyone here...finally decided to sign up as I have an important question needing the expert opinions from this great site.:suomi:
I've been a lurker for probably the last three years, so definitely not a newcomer here. This site has been a great capping resource to me during football, basketball, and baseball seasons. Thanks to all the great cappers here.:money8:

Now, my question: I've got five or so local outlets during football season. Two of these bookies use "dead lines" (i.e. come out with their lines on wed/thurs and usually don't move the lines at all unless there's a drastic event moving the line of a game like an injury to a key player or something like that). My other books are locals that use online sites (cris, hollywood) to take their bets, but i meet each week to settle up with my local even though all action is taken through the site directly. Anyway, my plan this football season is to finally do the smart thing and take advantage of some of these dead lines better. In the past I've simply used the best line available for a game i want to bet and only rarely attempted a "middle"-- like if I had two lines that crossed a "magic number" like 3 or 7, usually losing juice and not hitting my middle.

This year i want to find an online shop that allows "selling" of points and I want to middle all games with a large discrepency in the lines by selling points until i'm getting at least +110 for that side (while still having a chance at a middle--albeit a smaller middle). in other words, i want to do more of a "scalp" by selling points, but still having a small shot at a middle. I just figured i might as well wise up and take advantage of my locals while there still are locals that don't shift their lines.

What I needed from you guys is names of online shops that are A) reliable and B) provide an opportunity to sell points for the best value...
thanks in advance guys!! :toast:

thanks bb...
i have been reading for over three years, but usually just follow picks...
i don't bother to read posts about sportsbooks, as i haven't needed to sign up for an account anywhere. Also, i know about the so called scammer books, so i wasn't really asking for a reliable book, as i know pinny is. I was asking for the one with the best "point selling" options...
thanks man

I'd also like to get people's input on whether or not they think this is a good idea, bad idea...whether or not they think it can work and/or make a decent amount of money...
fyi, some college football spreads are off by as much as 5-6 points some weeks and my locals don't usually move the line...
i'd be interested in comments from all you smart guys in here (fishhead, wil, oldman to name a few)...
please guys

You can only sell 2 points at pinny and so your talking about a decent scalp and maybe a middle here and there. So basically the bigger the bets the more money you make. A big bankroll is needed but you can make money. And your Bookies better stay in business.

thanks dub...
do you (or anyone else) know of a shop that lets people buy more than 2 points? You're right, the locals better be able to cover this big amount. By the way, dubs, thanks for all the halftime winners over the years in foots and baskets...

thanks tater...i hear ya about middling being better in nfl, but we're talking about a "free" middle--because i'd be selling points to make it a scalp situation. The lines usually don't move as much in the nfl, so there aren't as many games where the locals lines are more than 3 pts off from the thursday line...

thanks everyone for the input, it's appreciated...
anyone else?

You can buy points with us and we have a decent bonus structure with a reasonable rollover requirement. The headline bonus is not enormous but you can at least earn it, unlike some other books.

There is also -105 lines every Friday on football and hoops, which would help you action.

Whether it is a good idea depends on a couple of things. If you beat your local books you still have to get paid, which may not be as easy as you hope as you are likely to be betting a lot bigger on middles than normal in order to get some real payout when you hit. The other thing is that it takes time to chase down all the possible outlets and also have your money in the right place at the right time. I used to do some middling before working for BetUSA and in the end I found it took up more time than it was worth and I could make a lot more in my job by putting the extra hours into that work.

thanks bill...lots of good advice there...
one of my two local books that doesn't move lines is an extremely reliable book, having been in business for over 20 years. They have NO LIMITS as long as they know you are good for it or you give them a deposit. Guess i'll have to place the big ones with them instead of the other one, which is your typical local bookie.
is betusa a reputable book? also, what kind of bonus are we talking about AND would it piss you off that someone's just using it for middles and the bonus? i read a thread where Thundercat was being screwed out of bonus money by some book because of bonus whoring...

Bet365 let me sell points in the past, haven't done it awhile there but I think they still do. Lower limits and higher vig than Pinny though, but a good out that pays.

Billnevin: If you allow SELLING of points, not just buying, I might be interested in playing at your sportsbook as well.

Well you can change our rating on sportsbookreview (B) and I think most people on here would agree that we are a reputable book and small enough to give players personal service.

In terms of bonus offers, they are all stated on the site. We will have different ones in place for the football season but the standard is basically a 10% sign up and 8% on reloads.

We have never seized any earned bonus funds but I would also not claim we welcomed bonus abusers with open arms. If we think you are betting PURELY to earn the bonus (and we have software in place to flag up accounts and then I personally check every one) then we will ask you to take your business elsewhere. This happens rarely but it has happened. I will repeat however that we do not take earned bonus funds. We pride ourselves on being a small (relatively) book that is backed by the $s of Sportingbet but has a management team that is available to deal with every player.
