WASHINGTON (AP) -- D.C. United midfielder Freddy Adu wasn't hurt after getting into a minor car accident while driving home from a game over the weekend.
Adu, 17, was heading home from RFK Stadium following a 3-2 win over Columbus on Saturday night when his car was rear-ended, said Sgt. Joe Gentile, a District of Columbia police spokesman. Two other cars ahead of him collided, and he was swerving to avoid a man from one of the cars running across the street, Gentile said.
The man who hit Adu's car was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.
