While you're contacting your Senators over these recent events in the online gambling world, I may have something even more effective we can do: Contact ALL MEDIA OUTLETS!!!

Both sides of the political aisle has their reasons to bash the media because of their "slanted" views of the news. The Networks and CNN are left slanted, FoxNews is basically "Republican talking points", and who the heck knows what MSNBC is, depends on the host.

At this time, we NEED the media to take these politicians to task and help get the word out about how hypocritical these gambling bill and these BOS indictments are...

it looks like at least ABC News' Jonathan Silverstein is putting out the facts in the following article

http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/story?id=2207220&page=1

We need more of this, A LOT MORE OF THIS, on our nightly news and in our newspapers.

Writing your Congressmen didn't work, writing your Senators may prove to be as fruitless, I say CONTACT YOUR LOCAL TV STATIONS and CONTACT THE NETWORKS, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, FOXNEWS, tell them of your outrage over this BS

Links to contact ABC News, 20/20, Nightline, Primetime,ect...

http://abcnews.go.com/Reference/story?id=54216

MSNBC, NBC, and Newsweek contact info

http://www.msnbc.com/news/435157.asp

go to cbsnews website, hit contact us link at bottom, about 20 different shows you can write to

http://www.cbsnews.com/

I am contacting EVERY one of these, plus all the major newspapers. If enough of us write these networks and newspapers, they WILL notice.

You may (or may not) be amazed by how many reporters and people on these shows and in these newspapers gamble on sports, play poker online, and in casinos.

Right on, Ego.

I would also add that if you can get this information out to the blogs, do so. Each one won't reach nearly as many people as the mainstream networks, but it's the kind of thing each of us can do. Send a link to an article to the blog owner, post in the comments section, etc. I've been posting like a madperson at one of my favourite blogs today on the subject, and have found much support for my views.

Funny you mention the media, the ones I have seen talk about it have made a mockery of those trying to pass this bill..... Stewart, Cafferty , Letterman...

Any normal ,logically thinking, human being would see it this way.

I have sent out a letter to all the major network and cable news stations and also USA Today, Newsweek and a few more major newspapers.

I have asked them to come to the RX and do a search for threads on the internet gambling bill and the DOJ Crackdown on BOS and read all the great points you guys have made on these events of the past couple of weeks and to help us defend our dwindling freedoms...

Hopefully, some of these organizations will have their reporters come over here and get educated on this, if they aren't already and we'll see something good come of this on the TV/Print Media and Radio.

I encourage ALL OF YOU to speak out and be heard.. If we allow this Congress and Govt. to take away our right to gamble online in the comfort of our own homes who's to say what they will want to take from us next.
