I like Ogilvy in any bet, well used to playing Links and at the top of his Game. BTW, its The Open, there is no British Open. :suomi:

Technically you're correct, but in the US it's commonly known as the British open.

Found this on the web somewhere:

"The US Open, a fantastic challenging tournament, is NOT the Open Championship. The British Open, the tournament steeped in the deepest of all traditions is the only championship that be correctly cited as "The Open Championship."

Ogilvy does not have the game for the open, hits the ball too high. I caddied for his in europe back in the day.

I like Davis Love against Couples for the tournament. Couples is suffering with his back.

And thomas bjorn is no joke, hes got the game we have all seen that in the past

Well Im a PGA pro, I used to work in the golf business, now I work for an online sportsbook.

My game is a bit shabby right now but I still manage to get it around at 76 or so and I play like once or twice a month and dont practice.

I love Thomas Bjorn myself at -246 to make the cut, he does well at the majors normally plus he is coming of a so so week.

Ogilvy has not played any tournaments since the open so i think his game is not going to be up to standards

I see the usual guessing going on. Oglivy planned for a Month in Australia before the US Open specifically to practice on Links, a game which He reckons is his natural. As for High hitting, thats what you will need this week, watch the big hitters getting in all sorts of messes. :drink:

Winbet.

Ogilvy is long of the tee, and no not high hitting is going to be helpfull, greens are too firm already. THey are going to have to play links golf. So you are saying that Ogilvy will do well but hes a long hitter. Hits it a mile. I think the ones that will do well are the ones putting well and have strong short game. From what I have seen the course is firm and its hard for players to get the ball close to the hole

You typically seem like a smart guy, so I am surprised being a European you don't know more about links golf. High ball flight is a TERRIBLE thing and you are saying that is what you need? Why the hell to you think Mickelson sucks so bad over there? Very shocking, coming from you.

High flight ball will not be terrible if the forecast is correct. Humid with no wind. Without the wind a low ball is no advantage.

Does anyone really believe Ogilvy will win 2 majors in a row? He was lucky to win the first one and I see him as being a non factor.

I do not trust a forecast to hold up over there. There will be plenty of wind during the course of the tourney.
