Does it seem like everyone is really overreacting to the BOS situation?

Or is it just me?

I understand it comes on the coattails of the House approving the anti-gambling bill. But this BOS investigation has been most likely being worked on for years. We are talking about a book here that...

- has screwed many players over

- was the first to really start marketing in the US mainstream media ( IMO the most likey reason they are ones who are being targeted) they were before the poker sites etc

-the principles have a reputation for being scumbags, for example the story of beating that lawyer up when he came to collect money. If that story is true stuff like that can lead to things like this.

Now everyone on this forum is worried about their money in Neteller and other books. I think that is an overreaction. This book was the scum of the industry no matter how much they paid the RX and other watchdogs to say otherwise. This shouldn't be too suprising.

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

I agree w/ Insiders...just because BOS is the target right now whats to say that they arent (DOJ) looking into other operations w/ the intent of more indictments later...JMO

I surely think its an overreaction.

Books are out in full force looking to purchase ads on websites.

My bet is that it's a specific BOS related issue. I bet we all find out it has much more to do with "other things" moreso than gambling.

This happening after the house thing has caused paranoia. The truth is the gambling bill is likely to NOT be brought up in the senate much less win!

People who have money IN BOS are NOT overreacting (I dont)

People who are worried about Neteller, other top tier books ARE paranoid

This has been going on for a LONG time with BOS...and it has EVERYTHING to do WITHOUT the most serious charge being internet gambling....

Dont forget though...a lot of people like drama...and this gives great cause for some chicken littles to come out

Nothing to be worried about. The RX will make sure everyone on this forum gets paid, or the RX will pay you themselves.

How much was the RX guarantee for? Was it up to $10,000?

It does not matter how many they indict if their CEOs dont come to the U.S.

WSEX was indicted or sent a request to appear (Not exactly sure how it went) and Jay decided he wanted to fight for the cause and came to the US.

When people started opening offshore books they were under the opinion they could not come to the US. I do not know what changed their opinion, but I bet it has changed back..

when your given a chance to get your money out do so

otherwise you will end up like me waiting for months on end and basically getting nothing

bos will have to pay you but in the future forget it they are history for us gamblers

lets face it if the govt loses this case (which i dont think they will) they will find another way to beat them

so either way bos is not the place to leave your money

I never once had an issue with BetMill. The fact I hadn't loaded up for hoops this fall makes me glad I didn't carry much of a balance there. However, I don't think it would be overreacting for a betmill customer to be upset about the freezing of their funds.

I agree. Unless something gets passed in the senate, I wouldn't worry.

It's not about losing any money I had at Millennium sports. I can care less if they close their whole operation down. What I'm concerned about is if these sickos from this administration get the data on all present and PAST players. The paper trail gets a lot easier to follow once you have that first lead. What's to stop them from turning over that information to the IRS? This corrupt administration never let the constitution get in the way before. Illegal wire taps on it's on citizens for instance. How will that affect your gambling on the internet in the future when the IRS personally drops you a line telling you internet gambling is illegal. I just don't feel too comfortable with big brother watching over me. The less they know about me the better I like it.

Let's say that someone has $20,000 in an account at BoS and was quite worried about it. Would that be overreacting?

Yes. The story is in the archives somewhere as I read it here or MW I am not sure which.
