From Forbes

Antigua is a very small portion of the WTO but now the DOJ has pushed England into this debate. The WTO must contact the UK regarding how the BOS situation has broken numerous trade treaties.

The US needs the WTO for many negotiations in China and other places.

The BOS arrest may actually strengthen the WTO demand that the US allow online gambling.

This should be very interesting.

The WTO has had years to organize a committee to review. After doing nothing since the various appeals it is very appetizing that 1 day after the BOS arrest they are now going to investigate within 90 days!

The US actually needs the WTO far more than the other countries - we were a big part of building it because we wanted to be able to get countries that we dont like to negotiate. This was to be a neutral body. If we don't follow it, the next time someone like China gets a ruling they do not like, they can simply say - must not matter, the US does not follow the rulings....

This will definitely be interesting, but I don't see Blair creating much noise.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of WW. They could be a real blow to the WTO.

The US is gonna get what it wants in this deal.

Like it or not.

Might be a bit different if the situation in the mideast wasnt happening.

Takes any world focus off this miniscule situation.

Blair is Bushes puppet

INTERNET gambling executives in Britain were told yesterday that they are vulnerable to fast-track extradition to the United States because their businesses are breaking American tax law.

Concerns are also growing that an anti-terror agreement by Europe to hand passenger flight lists to the US may have been used by FBI and tax agents to swoop on David Carruthers, the BetOnSports chief executive........
