After 1 inning of play the Astros lead 1-0 on a leadoff homerun by Biggio. However allthough Clemens shut down the Cubs; 1, 2, 3 I was surprised by how many fastballs he threw. I think to be really effective tonight he is going to need to throw more offspeed pitches. I was worried about that ball Lee hit. However the Cubs are horrible.
2 innings in the book and the Cubs do the usual. Cedeno swings at a ball over his head and lets Clemens off w/ 2 runners on base. Not only is the strikeout key b/c Clemens worked out of a jam, but he also leads off w/ Maddux in the third whereas Biggio is comming up in the third for the Astros. Any other input on this game would be appreciated.
