Here is the full text of an e-mail I received 30 minutes ago. Yesterday, Grand Virtual, another poker room/network alerted their affiliates that they wouldn't accept any new U.S. customers as of 7/24/06. Anybody still think this is nothing to worry about?

Dear Eurobet Customer,

Please be advised that in the light of recent actions by US regulators, Eurobet has regretfully taken the decision to cease taking any business through its websites from U.S. residents with immediate effect. U.S. residents will no longer be able to transact with our websites and all accounts held by U.S. residents have now been closed.

We are contacting you because we believe that, based on the personal details you have provided us, you are a US resident and therefore affected by this decision.

Where we already have your payment details we will refund any outstanding balance using that method within 7 days from today. If we do not have the necessary details please contact us on +44 1483 773224 or via email at uscustomerservice@eurobet.com to confirm how you wish any existing balances on your account should be repaid including the appropriate financial details.

We commit to processing such refund with 7 days of receiving your payment instructions.

On behalf of the entire Eurobet team we apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your previous custom.

Emma Jordan

It gets better. Here is some of what my affiliate just sent me. Notice that Coral/Eurobet has ordered them to stop advertising:

"Please be advised that in the light of recent actions by US regulators, Eurobet has regretfully taken the decision to cease taking any business through its websites from U.S. residents with immediate effect. U.S. residents will no longer be able to transact with our websites and all accounts held by U.S. residents have now been closed.

We would therefore ask you to stop advertising our brand name with immediate effect if your website is addressed to a US audience."

As long as Mansion does not do this I will be ok. Did not play at Eurobet much other than the casino bonus offers

I'd rather be Kayak fishing

This is not suprising. Most UK or Irish books do not allow US customers. My book Paddypower.com certainly doesn't.

Yes, this isn't the end of the world for non-americans ;)

Wow. That has to hurt that operation.

I'd think americans are a pretty small % of their client base.

I suspect Eurobet did not have a large US clientele. If I recall correctly they deal a 30 cent MLB line.

Coral/Eurobet is not a small company and with US clientele being a very small part of their business they are just being prudent as they are publically listed on London Stock Exchange and would not want to hurt the parent company stock value.

Have you ever had a problem with Mansion? Withdrawal wise?
