Mike Mussina just might be having his best year as a Yankee, 11-3 and a low ERA, he has a shot at 20 wins for the first time in his career,

With 235 wins at age 37, who knows maybe he can still make a run at 300, you would have to think he has atleast 40-50 wins left in him....which would put him in the 280-285 range, and would pretty much force him to hang around to get to 300.

He really needs a strong finish this year, something he's not been doing since joining the Yankees .

He's the equivalent to a righthand version of Tom Glavine with better stuff, but just a shade below Glavine's career stats.

As far as career stats go..I'd give the edge to Mussina.

Considering he didn't have the luxury of facing a pitcher 3-4 times each game(his entire career).

Agree?

In some ways yes..but also the NL pitchers come out early and loses some wins because they're pinch hit for...they really are very close, and with the NL pitcher batting (which gives the NL pitcher a lower ERA) that does make them about dead even.

I don't think Mussina will make it to 300 but he is showing late foot with this year and really has made a nice comeback this year to 'Ace status' ...he will have a real tough time reaching 20 wins, he has approx 11-12 starts left and will need to win 9.

Don Sutton only won 20 games once and he reached 300+wins.
