Floyd Landis best time so far at first time check. Looks like He's headed for the Yellow Jersey !

Landis is virtually in second place now but Pereiro still leads Landis by 20 seconds at first time check so He is putting up a good fight ! However if Landis maintains and wins the stage they will be bonus for winning the stage.

Correction : no bonus points in time trial stage I don't believe.

At second time check, Landis has about a 30 + second overall for a virtual lead for the Yellow Jersey now ! Barring some unexpected developement it looks like Landis will win the Tour now !

Honchar won the stage, Landis came in third, now leads Pereiro by 59 seconds going into the last stage tomorrow. FTR, Carlos Sastre fell apart during this stage and is now something like 3 minutes behind Landis.

Landis leads the Tour by 59 seconds which I am sure will be his final winning margin ! I have a nice win ticket on Landis which I would have gladly sold for .25 % of face value just 3 days ago after his meltdown in stage 16 ! Truly unbelievable comeback in stage 17 which many rate already as the greatest performance in Tour History.
