Fade away guys, I have been ice-cold as of late. MLB is not my best sport to cap (NFL) but god this is pathetic. I am going to keep playing what I like the look of though and hopefully will begin to right this ship soon. My units are lower in baseball compared to other sports so I am not losing my shirt here or anything but I still like the challenge of beating this sport. Today there is one total play that I like the look of, and as I didn't like laying a ton a bunch of juice I decided to play some runlines.. hoping to hit 2 of the 3 runlines.

Twins/Tribe Ov 10 -106 5.30/5
Two starting pitchers taking the mound tonight that have a combined ERA of 13.04. Baker is 0-2 with a career ERA of 5.4 against the Indians, while Sowers is 0-1 with a career ERA of 6.43 against the Twins. Minnesota was expected to collapse on the road as they are without Hunter still, but they are in the midst of a nice 8 game winning streak. Cleveland does swing the bat quite well at home though and I believe they will be able to get to Sowers early and force the Twins bullpen to pitch more innings then they are comfortable with.

Brewers (Bush) -125 3.75/3
After watching the Reds beat the Brewers ace I didn't picture myself laying juice against them again tonight but I see this game as a good spot for them. Their closer Turnbow blew a 2 run lead in the ninth inning (thats the way my luck has been going as of late). Mays is the Red's #5 starter and I expect him to get rocked tonight. He is 0-5 with an 8.43 ERA on the year, has been struggling with his control, and hasn't pitched since giving up 6 runs on July 6th against the Braves. Dave Busch will be getting the start for the Brewers, and although he has a losing record (6-7) on the season he has pitched very well at times. He has a 4.42 ERA but has seemed to have great control of the strike-zone and has 111 strike-outs in 132 innings this season. The Brewers have lost 3 in a row, but I like them to bounce back tonight and narrow their gap behind the Reds in the NL Central.

Dodgers (-1.5) +190 3/5.7
Quite simply a fade of Jeff Weaver here. he is 3-11 this season with a 6.60 ERA. In his only start in a Cardinals uniform this season the Braves rocked him for 6 runs on 8 hits in only four innings. Also, he is 0-1 with a 6.23 ERA against the Dodgers in his career. Los Angeles has been struggling with injuries and is only 1-8 since the All-Star break, but this play is basically a feeling play as I believe Weaver will continue to implode, and this may very well be his last chance in the rotation for the Cards. Aaron Sele is taking the mound for the Dodgers tonight and he has been pitching great as of late. He is 6-0 with a 1.65 ERA at home this season, and I like his chances to bounce back after losing on the road to the red hot DiamondBacks in his last outing. The Dodgers are 0-5 against the Cardinals this season, but that changes tonight.

D-Backs (-1.5) +172 3/5.16
The D-Backs are making a strong playoff push this second half in a competitive NL West division. They have won 3 in a row, and 8 of their last ten games to climb within 1 game of the lead in their division. They are currently 3.5 games up on the Rockies and do not have any room for error tonight. Gonzalez is taking the mound for them tonight and is coming off of a quality start where he allowed 3 runs in 6 2/3 innings against the Dodgers. He is a solid right handed arm in their rotation and he should have success tonight against an ice cold Rockies team that has only won one of their last ten games. Josh Fogg has been pitching great for the Rockies lately with a 1.13 ERA in his last three starts, but I believe he may have some troubles tonight in Arizona. Arizona has won 7 of 10 against Colorado this season, including the last 4 and I like their chances at home in this divisional game.

D-Rays (-1.5) +178 3/5.34
Looks like returning home is quite helpful to the D-Rays as it helped them bring a hault to a seven game losing streak that had been haunting them. Last night they were able to get to Eric Bedard in a 14-7 win. Ending the losing streak got a huge monkey off of everyones shoulder in the D-Rays club-house and I believe they will continue to play well in their home stretch. I also like the D-Rays rightie Tim Corcoran who will be getting the start tonight. He is 4-1 with a 2.48 ERA on the season. He was called up from the minors in June , and aside from Scott Kazmir has been the best arm the D-Rays have had ever since. He has already pitched 7 innings against the Orioles this season allowing just two runs and not getting a decision. Baltimore will counter by sending Rodrigo Lopez who is 2-0 against Tampa Bay this season despite 10 runs and 15 hits in 13 2/3 innings. He has struggled against other teams this season however going 6-10 with a 6.44 ERA. I believe the Devil Rays have seen him twice, rocking him both times, and should have no problems doing so again tonight. Also, I believe the D-Rays pitching will be able to keep the Orioles in check in this game. Baltimore has lost three games in a row, and I expect the streak to continue.

Good luck tonight guys, and hopefully I will be able to break out of this losing streak tonight. Decided to give some thoughts with the picks tonight in a hope that it will change my luck around.

Cheers.gif
