Is NINE and other CR books going to freeze funds? Paranoia rising . ..

Earlier today (about noon Pacific time and 3PM eastern) I got on the Nine.com site to try to make a Neteller withdrawal. Didn't see any specific link, so I hit their Live Chat.

Guy said it was "a litlle late" today to make a NT withdrawal. And to try Monday after 9 AM Eastern. (Like, what time is the hearing in Miami?)

I may be wrong, but I think I recall calling "late" before, other books, even weekends, and being able to do a NT withdraw. Isn't it all computer generated?

So I asked for their NT number to do it myself from the NT site. At that time the Live Help screen stopped functioning.

I have a small amount (nothing like the huge sums some poor devils who post have) in a BOS book that is currently frozen - to prevent a run on the "bank", I suppose. So there is a little paranoia here.

Will Nine stall on Monday morning when I make my request? Until they know if Carruthers is going to be prosecuted? Are some of the CR book owners going to get nervous enough to think that if DC goes down, they may be next, somehow. And decide to take the money and run?

How many have closed all their CR books accounts, or left only a token amount in. I'm not talking about those with accoounts at the BOS chain of books, just the others located in CR - or for that matter, elsewhere?

Dude, you'll be fine. Nine accounting hours are Monday through Friday, from maybe 9am to 3pm ET.

Nine merged with VIP, so are financially London-based now I think..

That said, I wouldn't read anything into the payout situation. VIP are usually fairly rigid to their Mon-Fri schedule..

well it seems he was within the time frame or am i missing someting? 6 days a week (it is saturday) and before 4 p.m. est (he says request at 3 p.m.est)

Don't know what is gonna happen after the VIP merger, but beforehand, I can give you at least 10 reasons not to play at Nine, betcom, mybookie...

For one, if you deposit too much by neteller ($2500 in some people's cases) they immediately do not want your action.

It may have been a little after 3 PM edt, but way before 4 PM edt.

I dont have a huge sum there, but combined with what i have in one of the BoS books, well over four figures.

Well, I'll try Monday morning. Ain't nothin' to lose sleep over, or cut into your weekend parties.

I just gotta feeling a lot of the books are probably having "runs on the bank." That's why some of the real banks were closed in the 1930s. But I don't know if we have a "Jimmy Stewart" around to do anything.

I have an account at nine, and when I called two days ago they told me although located in Costa Rica, the are not tied to the U.K. at all and are not going to be affected. Hope that helps.
