Great bet and most likely a winner...BUT, don't be surprised to see him get hot sometime soon. He will now have Hillebrand in front of him and Alou behind him. He will finally have some protection in the lineup and will see a lot more pitches to hit.

I agree with you...I think you are holding a winning ticket.

He has only played in 79 of those games and a few of those were just pinch hit appearances. He had no protection in the lineup because Alou has been hurt. They have rarely playing in the same lineup. Bonds has had Ray Durham hitting behind him all season.

You throw Hillebrand in front of him and Alou behind him and his numbers will improve.

BUT, I doubt Bonds or Alou can stay healthy due to their age and ailments.
