</TD><TD width=20></TD></TR><TR><TD>The Feds shut down BetOnSports.com last week, a publicly traded company in Britain that became the focal point of a U.S. crackdown on offshore casinos, where gamblers anywhere in the world can use the online sites to wager on sporting events and play casino games like blackjack from their personal computers.

The crackdown prompted speculation that this could be the beginning of the end for the online gaming industry. But others think it won't -- or shouldn't -- be stopped.

Would you favor legalization of all online gambling? Vote in the online ballot, and watch "Closing Bell" weekday afternoons on CNBC.

In my opinion, a major media poll on this question can bring more pressure to bear on the Senate then any individual writing directly. If this poll shows overwhelming support for legalization of online gambling, the media will press the Senators if they are on the opposite side of the public poll. Keep the votes coming. This poll ends on July 28th.

Currently with 159 votes counted:

Yes: 74%
No: 26%
