3-2 yesterday, 21-16 since Monday, July 17 (+8.77 units) using my new strategy.
Here is what I have going for Wednesday Afternoon, July 25:
When Ian Snell doesn't pitch, the Pirates are almost guaranteed to lose on the road. In their 19 previous stints as a visitor, they are 4-15. Even worse is the fact that Pittsburgh is 2-8 in Paul Maholm's road starts. Milwaukee, on the other hand, is 9-1 when Chris Capuano takes the mound at home.
Brewers -1½ +100. Best Bet.
If at first you don't succeed, keep betting the same team and hoping that you don't lose your shirt. The Tigers have won five of seven, while the Indians are still 5-12 in their previous 17. Despite yesterday's loss, Detroit is 8-4 against the Tribe this season. I have a lot of faith in Justin Verlander; the Tigers are 13-3 in his starts since April 23. Cleveland, meanwhile, is 3-6 in C.C. Sabathia's appearances the past two months.
Tigers -110.
Believe me, I know what I'm getting myself into. Mark Buehrle has not permitted less than five earned runs in a single contest since June 27. But I also have to acknowledge that Minnesota is 4-12 in its previous 16 road games in which neither Francisco Liriano nor Johan Santana started. Carlos Silva has a 10.21 road ERA.
White Sox -1½ +130.
Don't have the run lines yet, so they're approximated. I'll post two more night games later on.
Good luck to everyone.
Walt
