3* St. Louis Cardinals -102

Push last night with the Cards -1, and back again tonight on these Cards - this time without laying the run.

1) Cards are the better team. Yeah, no shit. But my point is this is the rubber game of the series, it's a 1-1 split, and better teams usually find ways to win series, win games, they understand the importance of a road series win. This is a game that the better team wins. They found a way to win a 0-0 ball game last night, and then close it out, and they find a way to get it done here today.
2) Something's gotta give. Rockies have been struggling overall, Cards have been struggling at the dish at Coors. 1 run in 2 games for the RedBirds, but this is a 1-1 series? Maybe that tells you how Colorado is playing.
3) Rockies low on confidence. They havnt been playing well lately. They cant seem to win road games, home games, close ones whatever.
4) Cook vs. Suppan. Stay with the hot ones. One has had success against the other team, one hasnt. Suppan 2-0 vs. the Rockies this year. Cards have won 6 out of 8 vs. the Rockies this year. Cook is off one of his worst starts of the season. Not pitching well of late.

Good Luck

Pujols is OUT, meaning 100% of their offense (past 2 games) is OUT. Plus, Suppan's past 2 starts have been excellent because they were both against the Dodgers...so they are a little misleading.
GL with your play eventhough you can tell who I am on!!!

Cards lead 4-0 late.

One more play I want to add for tonight that stands out to me, and is worthy of a play:

1* Braves/Marlins under 8.5 -114

Night game we got a nice pitcher's duel vs. two struggling offenses.

Josh Johnson has been the Marlins best starter this season. Same for Smoltz who has yet again been the Atlanta ace. Both of these starters have enjoyed success against the opposing teams. I'm also a big believer that the first game of a series sets the tone. And yesterday's series opener was a 2-1 ball game. Tonight, both pitchers come out to the yard knowing that their offenses didnt score yesterday. Nevermind the fact that they are both solid starters, anyway. Josh Johnson has been a Capuano-like quality start machine.
Top it off that both Jones' for the Braves have been out. Chipper may return tonight, but he's been out the past 3 games, and I question how effective he will be. Andruw Jones will be out again today. So both big bats in the Braves lineup are either out or injured and just coming back.
Marlins have that yuong lineup that has impressed. But they face a tall task vs. Smoltz tonight. Smoltz was also outdueled by Josh Johnson earlier this season, and I think he realizes he'll have to pitch better tonight to beat him. Smoltzy has been throwing well lately.
Umpire is Eric Cooper. 57% overs. 11-8. So, he's not an over machine. His past two games he has umpired have stayed well under, and maybe he has adjusted his zone a bit. Either way, all recent performances from the pitchers, lineups and umpire point to an under.

This is a 1 unit play, so treat it as such.

Good luck

One guy being out is not enough to make me lay off a play, much less switch entirely to the otherside.

When 1 guy like Pujols is out, the offense knows they cant rely on him anymore, and a lot of guys step up, especially if its one game.

Over the course of 3,4,5,6,7, games if Pujols was out, it would be different. It always catches up with a team eventually. But it was his first game out, so doesnt really change my play much.
