He should not be allowed to move on IMHO.

He had his chance to go to Boston or NY, and now that Houston looks dead in the water the talking heads are posing the question and many are suggesting Rocket will indeed look to be dealt....This is just ridiculous if he ends up STILL pitching for either Bos or NY this season.

Houston and Clemens have both handled this situation poorly, for the past two years ...can't wait for this team to fade back into mediocrity where they belong.

If he wants to go and you are Houston management, you get rid of him as fast as you can. Salary is ridiculous and you will get one, probably two big time prospects. Abolute no brainer.

2 bigtime prospects....no way. He's the stupid ass that signed with them. He has said nothing about a trade so far. Clemens and the under has been golden. lol they just don't score with him pitching.

I agree but WHY sign him in the first place, they're making a joke of the credibilty/integrity of MLB....teams should not be allowed to do this.

If he really wanted to pitch for a pennant he would have signed in the AL East to begin with...I think Clemens realized he was better suited to dominate the weaker national league offenses and took the money!

What in the hell does him being the stupid ass that signed with them have to do with not getting big time prospects in return? Not of a hell of a lot. Also what does him saying nothing about a trade have to do with it? Again not a hell of a lot. What does run support and if games are going under or not have to do with this thread. Again not a hell of a lot. You might consider trying again.

Dont forget the big factor was the chance to be at home more often....take less road trips.

The situation looked much more promising at the time that it has turned out to be. That happens. Now, whether I agree it should be allowed, I am not sure. Haven't thought in depth about it much.

uhhh this is a gambling site correct?

Fine Royal he knew going in that Astros were not a good team. I have a question for you Royal.
How does it feel to be a royalfan when they have sucked so bad for 10 years. BTW I know the feeling since I am a Tigers fan going back to the 80's. I wonder if he has a no trade in his contract.

He came back for 2 reasons :

The money

Not having to travel on road trips he wasnt pitching.

If he cared about winning , he would have signed with someone else.

Doesn't bother me. The future looking promising now that they have a GM that knows what he is doing. Already acquired 6 promising starting pitchers this week in trades. They are loaded, position player wise for the future. The ridiculous salary situation in baseball today, will make it that much sweeter when they do cash in down the road.

He does not but he brings in so many fans...every one of his games are sell outs. I dont see Houston dealing him anywhere. Word in the paper here in Houston is that Brad Lidge is on the trading block as part of a deal for Tejada...we will see.

How bout Smoltz lol he owes us. We need another arm World. Ledezma and Colon suck. In the playoffs we'll use Minor for long relief. Maroth might be back.

I do JMan I had to run for my life after the game. That's when DTown got the bad rap on rioting.

How old are you RightSide? That was an amazing season. It was also the end of the Orioles era.

I remember the '84 Tigers. They should have played the '84 Cubs in the WS. Thanks Leon Durham. :nohead:
