Somethings Wrong Here...Help me out on the Angels/RSox game...

I was really thinking about taking the Boston Red Sox ML tonight over the LA Angels.

However, although the line seems to have moved up quite a bit right along with the large number of folks on the Red Sox (which is fine in my book of things to watch for...) the OPENING line was somewhere around -135 or -140!!

WHY WAS this line so low to begin with? Wouldn't you expect it to be a line of -170 or so given some of stats of Schilling at home and such?

The line is now around -1.60 and that still seems low to me.

Why was the line so low to start? Anyone?

It makes me wonder about taking the Boston Red Sox tonight!

Line might of been low because Lackey has been excellent as of late. Other than his start against CLE - he has been unreal. I think the Dog is the way to go tonight!

Thanks guys. I may just stay away, but damn....The Red Sox at home with Schilling AFTER a demoralizing win yesterday (demoralizing for the Angels).....

FairWarning, I appreciate your input but fading you is not a good idea, I believe.

Lackey always struggles against the Sox (0-6). Schilling is 8-0 at home. Take the Sox. Also, will Vlady play? He left yesterdays game with fatigue.

Tulsa- Go w/ what you like and what you cap. I think the line is great for Lackey- getting + money w/ him is excellent, however that is just me. If you like Boston - go for it!

LAA are 0-8 in Lackey's last 8 starts vs. BOS.
LAA are 3-13 in the last 16 meetings in Boston.

Those are the stats that I was mentioning above in the first post AND the Angels had a demoralizing loss last night; on the road and in a very hostile environment and ready to get out of town, I'm sure.

THAT is the problem with this play of the Boston ML

Why was that line so low to start out!!? -1.35? Oh well.

I'm thinking and thinking......

Trends are trends....do not go by what happened 3 years ago.. Lackey was not doing as well as he is now.. look at what is going on now... Trends will kill you in the end.

Trends are very dangerous, that is certain.

However, Boston is a great team at home and those trends have some basis in the 'lately' as well.
