O.T. Looking for great pizza in nyc

going to nyc, phily and baltimore. any recomendations for pizza in nyc- and italian or rib joints in phily and near camden yards.

you NEED to get the flat pizza I was born in NYC and miss the great pizza there its thin crust but the cheese is amazing

Cheap take-out joint, but they have that amazing typical NYC super-thin pizza.

I just saw a special on this today. Chicago vs. NY pizza.

In New York, just go to any place called Ray's LOL. Well the original Ray's is the one you want. Actually started by a guy named Raphael in 1933 I think. They always called him Ray though. Cant remember the names of the other places.

Ray's is pretty good, but order a full pie and avoid the slice places they have around town. In fact almost everywhere they sell slices be prepared to be disappointed. Pizza sitting around half-baked and then finished off when ordered isn't exactly the way to make it right.

Can't go wrong with Grimaldi's either. Very fortunate that they have opened 2 places out here. Voted best in NYC by Zagat.

That Grimaldi's in Scottsdale is something I look forward to almost every time I go down to AZ to watch the Suns. Definitely a good choice :103631605

The native New Yorkers who have moved to AZ that I have talked to are a bit disappointed in Grimaldi's. Do you find it the same as in NY?
