The Sox signed Ortiz for $12 million this year. The Skanks paid $12 million to Johnny Damon and will pay Abreu $16 million.

I didn't phrase it right though...I meant to say initially off of the Twins...They got him for basically nothing originally....What a great player!

I agree...it's one thing when a strong/ox type player comes up for another team...and you're thinking ya this guy just might do it

It's another thing when Ortiz comes up....He ALMOST ALWAYS does it....It's almost a GIVEN.......Truly amazing for sure!

Exactly...it has gotten to the point where him getting a hit is EXPECTED. If you hit .350 in those situations you are a monster. This guy has to be hitting around .500 in these spots and his slugging percentage if off the charts. The guy not only gets big hits, he goes yard. It is unreal.
