5* Texas/Twins over 10 +101
1* Twins -1 +117

Easy over by the 5th inning yesterday in the Boston game.

One more over for today, it's another 5* on a similiar premise, as I like the Twinkies and Rangers to do some damage in the Metrodome. I think I have a good read on this game, so I went ahead and bet the Twins small, too. Laying the run here even though they are the home team, because it's great value in a game where I think a ton of runs should be scored, and the runs shouldnt matter. Plus, I like having Nathan on my side at the end of the game, and a starter on the mound who skipped his last start and should be fresh.

First, you have a couple of teams coming down the stretch that need every win they can get. The Twins are 61-43, but are still 8.5 games back in that tough central division, and are battling for a wild card. Texas at only 52-54 is just 4 games out from 1st in the west.

My point is, I don't expect a let down from either lineup tonight, where they just kind of go through the motions. I tend to be careful on a Tuesday, mid-week kind of game, looking out for let downs, staying away from heavy favorites and overs, but this one still stands out to me. Every win is critical for these two teams.

Texas starts Eaton, who is making just his 2nd start of the season since he started the year on the DL. I will say this again, you cant expect this guy to just come in and pitch lights out when these hitters are in mid-season form. Especially against the Twins, especially on the road at the Twins. David Wells, Mark Prior, I dont care who you are. It is very tough. Plus these Twins play with so much energy at home, when that crowd gets behind them. They can be losing all game and they get energized when I watch Twins games, late in the game and they always make a big run late.

Texas injected their lineup with some Carlos Lee, so they add some pop. They face Scott Baker, the young righty who hasnt fared well this season. He's allowed at least 4 runs in his last 7 starts. Spent a lot of timne in the minors this year. He faces a tough Texas lineup. The one thing he has going for him is that he skipped his last start. Different pitchers respond in different ways to this. Some people need to stay in a groove, others enjoy the extra rest. I think Baker will enjoy it, as he's probably never pitched so much, so frequently in his life at any level. I still think he gets knocked around today, but he should give at least 5-6 innings, then that Twins bullpen is good.

Wolf will umpire this one. 13-8 on overs. 62% overs. Everything just seems to point over in this one to me.

Overall, this should hopefully be another easy over, and if the Twins win, it would be icing.

Good Luck
