the cuban government released a letter stating that Castro has temporarily given power to his younger brother, but did he die during his surgery to stop his intestinal bleeding?

Even if he *did* die, don't expect the Cuban government to just come out and make a big announcement about it. They've no doubt seen all of the Cuban-Americans partying in the streets of Little Havana based on the news of his illness. If Castro does take the trip to the "big casino" they'll probably delay a formal announcement until they've got all of their contengencies covered. There's precedent for this back in the days of the USSR--there was speculation that Brezhnev died some time before the "official" announcement of his death.

And, of course, we did that in South Carolina with Strom Thurmond who probably *really* died years before his Senate term ended...

Miami is celebrating, but they don't realize that if Fidal was a normal human being, they would still be on the island and not living the great life in the US.

I predict in 25 years, Cuba will be one of the top destination vacation spots for US travelers.

Its a great place to vacation without Americans trampling all over it. i can only imagine what it´ll be like if they let corporate America in there.
