He probably just made a decision that Thompson really was the better QB, but after beating Oregon in the bowl game, he had no leg to stand on in terms of benching Bomar. So he makes himself look like a saint by throwing Bomar under the bus for taking an over-paid job that Stoops probably knew about since day one.
