Yes, that appears to be the case now. It wasn't on 7-30-06, but it seems to be now. 0.5% commissions only on offers later matched that win, no commission on losers or on matching offers. Can't beat it. The fee is practically negligible.

With offers like this what is the perks for playing at a good book (a la Pinnacle) other then being outs for scalpers, etc?

The lines @ Pinnacle are often better than Mansion.

Pinnacle has an initial deposit bonus & offers different betting options.

definite lack of variety at exchanges, no props, parlays, teasers, halves, quarters, etc. I think they are acknowledging the offers are theirs anyway and want to entice player offers.

Is this a sign they are doing well? Or a perk for upcoming foots?

More likely a perk for soccer. They don't compete with Betfair on US football so much as they do on European soccer.

I still don't much like making offers, but have done it. I believe Mansion still has plenty of "burn" money. I often instant NT funds to them ( since its free to do so), roll once, withdraw then to Pinny or wherever. Frankly I abuse the FUCK out of it. Don't they pay 8.9 % on that and lose a ton with me ? I could do 5k a week that way, if I choose to.

My belief is Mansion loses lots of money, and is nowhere close to profitable, but I could be wrong !

Wait. So if you accept an offer, then no commission?

Then wtf is the incentive for sticking your neck out there and offering some lines?

been that way for awhile. Offer to get a better line, particurarly with higher moneylines.

Something that is say -400, +300 at an average book can get real close on an exchange, like -355, +350.

Yeah, but then the burden is on you to find a taker, right?

And if it's anything like matchbook, the spread between the lines woul dbe like -360 +358

My take is Mansion may have burned well over 10 million to date, but the guy behind it may be worth 10 billion, so 1% of that is 100 million, he might go 10% ( or a billion) before he quits.

I can't back this conjecture with facts. Mansion is unlike any other book, IMO. My opinion is they lose a lot, but lose less as time marches on, and are here to stay, and pay off if they quit. Mansion backer dude (IMO) is Hell-bent to give it his shot, may be his version of gambling ( playing house). Perhaps a Steinbrenner-Asian sort, or something ?

No guarantee an offer is accepted at any exchange, if you want your bet filled for sure... you take the best price you can get at the time, wherever. You can't control if the offer is taken or not, or if line moves. -360/ +358 is quite tight, even with 2% fee, but within reason for MB, certainly even pinny can't do that adjusted for the 2%.
