I am thinking about checking it out tonight. As good as Anchorman?

Thoughts are appreciated.

I saw it. It sucked. I was really looking forward to seeing it, cuz Anchorman, and Old School were so good. I was very dissapointed. I mean you get a couple of laughs along the way, because well....its Will Ferrel, but overall I was dissapointed.

agreed, all the funny parts are in the millions of previews, i love will ferrel but wait for the DVD

although they did give out a free loaf of Wonderbread before the movie, that was the high part of it for me

Anyone seen You Me and Dupree yet, I was hoping this would be really good.

Wasn't great...pretty much what I expected: some funny parts, but nowhere near as funny as the Wedding Crashers. Owen Wilson's act also gets a little old, especially when he's not coupled with another funny actor. That's when it's funniest.

Also a little too focused on romance than it should be...but Kate Hudson is SO FUCKING HOT in this movie. Shit was outrageous.

I'd wait till DVD.

I've heard that Little Miss Sunshine is hilarious...I'm trying to check that out soon. Steve Carrill is too funny.

Some comedies are hard to "get" the first time around. I didn't like "Life Aquatic:Steve Zissou" and "Ron Burgundy, Anchorman" the first time I saw them, but now I think they're both hilarious movies. The same with "Zoolander". I've seen those movies at least 6 times each and they seem to get funnier each time.

I saw both Dupree and Ricky Bobby. Both were highly entertaining, but certainly not all-time best comedies. Nacho Libre was the funniest I have seen all summer. Lets face it the most hyped movies you expect to be best don't quite make it. They give away a lot of laughs in the previews and expectations get too high. Some of my all-time favorites like Something About Mary and Office Space really didn't get the big hype.

SCnit let me put it to you like this: I paid for Talledega Nights and snuck into Miami Vice afterwards and wished I got my money back on both movies.
