Hi,

In reference to a rollover. Is it based on the amount of a wager or the amount of the winnings.

I was once told that if a play wins, they use the winning amount and if a play loses they use the bet amount.

Hope I explained myself.

Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Depends on the book. Some count the wager amount. Some count the smaller of the two.

Also, some books do not count big favorite money lines...

I just count the lower myself, to be sure.

What if you hit a $100 three teamer at 6-1 ? I doubt any book counts that as $600 towards the roll.

Thanks Sean. I was not aware that every book has different rules. I will need to contact them.

If you plan to bonus hunt... It is not necesarily a good idea to call... and then cash out $1 past rollover. It is a good way to get delays.

Look through the site read the bonus rules carefully. Look under the bonus and general rules.

Most sites either don't say anything - Amount bet counts.
Say faves over -200 don't count or something like that.
Or say lower amount (Bet or win) counts...

Actually Sean. I don't really like bonuses for this reason. Rollover, 30 days wait period, etc. I was just offered a bonus on a deposit I made earlier in the week and was not aware it came with a catch. First I was told it was a Bonus Bet and than a million other reasons why I have to wait to withdraw.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Look around and you'll start to like them - about 80-90% have no 30 day rule. Most have a 3-5X rollover which I complete in a day! :)

Bodog has a 1x rollover and likely will be 20% for football.
